Luca Mattioni
Born in Ancona (Italy) in 1977 – Luca Mattioni is one of the most active percussionists in the Italian musical sphere, with decades of experience, specializing in Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian percussion. Present in numerous formations ranging from Latin music to funky soul / disco ’70, passing from soul / jazz to bossa nova etc …
He has been teaching intensively for 20 years, he is the founder in 1999 of one of the first street bands in Italy of Brazilian percussion (afro-pop, sambareggae) called Mao Branca. He has performed over 2000 concerts in Italy and abroad. He has recorded his percussion in more than 30 record projects. He has worked as a live session musician and in a recording studio with various nationally and internationally renowned artists including Edoardo Vianello (2003-2004-2005-2006 tour), Joyce Elaine Yuille, Jhelisa Anderson (Italian tour 2010), Heston Francis, Loretta Grace , (tour 2012) Peter Erskine, John Abercrombie, Walter Martino, Alfredo Golino, Fabrizio Bosso, Paolo Di Sabatino, Paolo Ghetti, Marco Pacassoni, Eduardo Javier Maffei, Alessandro Altarocca, Nicola Peruch, Alessandro Fariselli, Simone La Maida, Fabio Nobile, Marcello Sutera, Massimo Morganti, Mauro Mussoni, Marco Postacchini, Davide Ghidoni, Flavio Boltro, Alessandro Scala, Beppe Di Benedetto, Massimiliano Rocchetta, Stefano Paolini, Bruno Mariani, Angelo Anastasio, Luigi Galante, Lorenzo Pagani, Michele Iaia, Stefano Serafini, Simone Lamaida, Jilson Silveira, Kal Dos Santos, Peppe Consolmagno, Moustapha ‘Mbengue, Alberto Camerini, Mirco Menna, Sylvia Catasta, Daniele Moretto, Pierpaolo Bisogno, Barbara Casini, Luis Agudo, Aless andra Belloni and many others …
